Upgrade of Winergy PEAB 4456.5 gearbox for Siemens 2.3 Turbine
We executed a specialized upgrade on a Winergy PEAB 4456.5 (60 Hz) gearbox, operating within a Siemens 2.3 MW wind turbine in the United States. Recognizing the specific wear patterns associated with this unit, we moved beyond a standard repair to implement a robust engineering solution.
The core of this intervention involved installing Wikov’s redesigned planetary gears, significantly reinforcing the gearbox's internal architecture. To further ensure longevity and mitigate premature failure, we integrated upgraded black-anodized SKF bearings featuring specialized integrated paths. This technical enhancement provides superior lubrication distribution and increased resistance to stress, delivering a revitalized drive system ready for long-term operation.
