We successfully executed a comprehensive overhaul and upgrade of a Winergy PEAB 4456.8 gearbox, a critical component for the Siemens 2.3 wind turbine platform. With a power rating of 2.3 MW, this unit operates under the highly dynamic and demanding conditions typical of the wind energy sector.
To restore the unit to peak performance, our team performed a complete change of the planetary stage gears and replaced all bearings throughout the system. The scope also included the refurbishment of the shrink-disk and essential accessories. Following the mechanical intervention, the gearbox underwent rigorous load testing to verify the repair quality, ensuring it meets the highest standards for reliability and efficiency before returning to operation in Romania.
