We delivered a complete industrial-scale refurbishment of the Bosch-Rexroth GPV 442 gearbox, a high-performance unit widely utilized in the Vestas V90 2.0 MW turbine fleet. Recognizing the critical need for rapid turnaround in the wind energy sector, Wikov maintains a dedicated exchange pool for this model, enabling an immediate "plug-and-play" swap that significantly reduces turbine downtime and lost revenue.

The overhaul involves a meticulous forensic teardown and inspection. To combat common failure modes such as White Etching Cracks (WEC) and moisture-induced wear, we perform a full bearing exchange using premium black oxide coated bearings. All internal gears are thoroughly assessed and either precision-reworked or replaced to ensure an optimal contact pattern and silent operation. This service scope includes the installation of a new off-line filtration system, a new lubrication block, and a new electrical oil pump, providing superior oil cleanliness that extends the lifecycle of the entire drive train. After passing rigorous full-load testing and receiving a professional protective coating, the gearbox is supplied in 100% plug-and-play condition, ready for immediate installation into the nacelle.
