We performed a precision on-site inspection of a Renk TCS-630 turbo gearbox for a power generation client in Croatia. This unit operates at the upper limits of industrial speed, handling 6,480 kW with an input rotation of nearly 10,000 rpm.

Given the extreme operating parameters, our analysis focused on the minute details of the internal components. We verified the gear meshing quality using specialized marking paste, confirming the gearing was free of damage. While the shafts were successfully cleared for reuse after cleaning the contact surfaces, the bearings exhibited minor wear. Our specialists restored them through careful polishing, ensuring the gearbox could return to service with the stability required for high-speed operation.
