Complete inspection and upgrade of a high-speed MAAG gearbox for the sugar industry, featuring new modified gears with higher safety factors.
We successfully completed a complex inspection and modernization project for a MAAG Gear TAF 50-6.28 unit in the Iranian sugar industry. This high-speed gearbox, operating at input speeds of 9,420 rpm, is a critical component in the production line.
Following a thorough on-site assessment, we went beyond standard repair. In agreement with the operator, we engineered and manufactured a modified gear set featuring an increased safety factor. This upgrade enhances the unit's durability and power transmission efficiency. To guarantee long-term reliability, the scope also included the replacement of all bearings, returning the gearbox to service in better-than-original condition.
