At the turn of 2025 and 2026, the Wikov Group is undergoing a significant period of change, which together creates a solid foundation for its further development. These steps affect both the structure and name of the parent company, as well as the strengthening of its international presence and changes in the management of selected companies and divisions. All changes are based on the group's long-term strategy and its ambition to be a stable and respected industrial partner in global markets.
Effective as of 1 January 2026, the parent company of the Group is changing its corporate name. The current name, Wikov Industry a.s., will be replaced by Wikov Group a.s. This step reflects the Group’s dynamic growth and its new communication strategy, which aims to more clearly define the company’s group character and unify its external presentation.
The name change does not affect the company’s identification or contact details; it is solely a change of the corporate name. The new name more accurately reflects the Group’s current structure, the breadth of its activities, and its further development ambitions.
From an organizational perspective, the Wikov Group is further divided into two divisions: the Gear Division, which focuses on the production and servicing of industrial gearboxes and related components and equipment, and the Hydro Division, which is dedicated to comprehensive solutions in the field of hydropower—from development and manufacturing to the servicing of water turbines and related equipment.
The companies in the Hydro division operate uniformly under the Litostroj brand. In the Gear division, most companies are represented and marketed under the Wikov brand, with the exception of GGT Gmeinder Getriebetechnik, which operates under the Gmeinder Getriebe brand on the German market, and Detail CZ, which manufactures parts for the automotive segment on the Czech market.
As part of the Group’s systematic development, its international presence is also being strengthened. The Gear Division is expanding its activities in North America by opening a new branch in Houston, Texas (USA), which will complement the Group’s existing presence in Canada.
The new company will operate under the name Wikov Gear US LLC. Michael Lapp, the current CEO of Wikov’s Canadian subsidiary, has been appointed CEO. The company is owned by Wikov Industry US Inc., which is part of the Wikov Group. This organizational structure ensures efficient management of activities in the U.S. market while maintaining close integration with the Group’s other companies.
Changes are also taking place within the Gear Division itself. In December, Zbyněk Berger stepped down from his position as Managing Director of Wikov MGI.
Štěpán Csiba has taken over the management of the company, stepping into a role in an environment he knows well. He previously led one of the company's strategic projects and is known not only to management but also to employees. This continuity and knowledge of the company's internal workings create good conditions for a smooth transition to the company's current direction and further development.
Changes are also taking place within the Hydro Division. After one year in the position of CEO of the Hydro Division, Antonín Růžička has stepped down from his role.
On December 3, 2025, Václav Černý, CEO of Litostroj Group, took over the management of Litostroj, continuing with the existing agenda and responsibilities. At the same time, further personnel changes took effect on January 1, 2026:
These changes ensure continuity in management and create a solid foundation for the further development of all companies within the Hydro Division.
The change of the parent company’s name, the expansion into the U.S. market, and the management changes within the Gear and Hydro divisions are not isolated steps. Together, they form a coherent picture of the next stage in the development of the Wikov Group—one focused on growth, stability, continuity of management, and strengthening international competitiveness.
The Wikov Group thus enters the next chapter of its development with a clear vision, strong managerial foundations, and the ambition to create long-term value for customers, partners, and employees across all markets in which it operates.
