On October 4th 2023 Wikov Industry a.s. successfully acquired a 100% stake in Pacific Rim Engineered Products (1987) Ltd., located in the Canadian province of British Columbia. Pacific Rim Engineered Products (https://www.prepglobal.com) operates under the PREP Global brand and is one of the leading manufacturers of custom and application specific drives and equipment for the oil&gas, mining and marine industries.
PREP Global is a worldwide operating supplier of top innovative drives and equipment, including its own control systems. Its qualifications cover the development and design, manufacture, installation, commissioning and servicing of all its products both onshore and offshore.
The Wikov Group thereby gains the potential to significantly strengthen its positions in the aforementioned industries on global markets. In-depth application knowledge enables Wikov to develop and offer application-specific transmission devices with high utility value. The acquisition of PREP Global fits into Wikov's strategy to strengthen its activities in the North American markets, both in the supply of new transmissions and drives, and in service and repairs.
