It has been exactly 5 years since Wikov entered into the ownership of Gmeinder Getriebe. And the close cooperation in the field of gearboxes for rolling stock is bearing fruit. It has been possible to find synergies very quickly, to define the market of two former competitors and, above all, to cooperate on large, interesting and technically demanding projects like the one in the photos. The development, production and testing of a single-stage gearbox for an electric locomotive leave an indelible mark on both companies. Extensive load tests are currently underway in Hronov facility. The attached shots are from the cold test.
